This brooch is an updated design of an earlier version depicting the iconic symbol of Palestine.

The olive leaves represent strength, perseverance and resilience.
The fishing net represents the relationship between the Palestinian fishermen and the Mediterranean sea.
The bold lines represent the many trade routes going through Palestine.
